Must try Restaurants/Cafes in Adelaide by the Beach

I feel so fortunate to live in this amazing little city called Adelaide of South Australia. Adelaide is the hub of local businesses and locally owned cafes and restaurants. 

Let me tell you more about Adelaide. At one end, it has serene sea and at the other side it is covered with mountains. This alluring Adelaide has wonderful and kind people. 

In this blog, I am going to take you to the restaurants/cafes which are located on the Esplanade to bask on some stunning views from sunrise to sunset and indulge in some of the great creations by the local chefs.

1. Palais Hotel, Semaphore 

This enchanting restaurant is located right in front of the Semaphore beach, one of the busiest beaches, with great hospitality and scrumptious food. One gets various options for seating ranging from outdoor seating to lounge to indoor comfortable seating, it's totally up to one's mood and time of the day. 

2. Barry's Burgers, Semaphore

I am not biased when I say Barry's Burgers are the best burgers in the town, it actually is and their sweet potato fries are just mouth watering. All the burgers have perfect blend of flavors and ingredients. My personal favorite is Quinoa Burger I was able to indulge guilt free. 

3. Joe's Cafe, Henley Beach 

Another excellent cafe right on the beach, go for a quick breakfast or romantic brunch. It is the perfect place for cute little date. They have pretty fair menu so no one is getting confused over too many options to pick from, best part is they serve one of the best coffees and fresh squeeze juice as well. Interestingly, Joe's Cafe is one of the only restaurants directly overlooking the beach, as close as you can get to the sea.

4. Bacchus Bar, Henley Beach

My personal favorite, this place has some pretty cool vibes. we picked outdoor seating to enjoy the view and sunset. Ohh my god, they serve some serious cocktails and all the other drinks one can think of, delicious food and great staff.

5. Stella, Henley Beach

Now this Italian restaurant is right on the Henley square, which means beautiful view is guaranteed. The staff here is really friendly, probably the staff is their real strength. Food is classic Italian with authentic flavors. Highly recommended is their Affagato with Kuhlua. It is must try, if you go to this restaurant never leave with out having Affagato.

6. Grange Jetty Cafe, Grange Beach

This is one of the hot places all year round whether it's summer or winter. In summer it is a hotspot for some great ice creams and in winter, sip up the coffee while witnessing enchanting sunset. Food is great and has amazing menu, something awesome for everyone. Another great restaurant overlooking the beach.

7. West Beach SLSC, West Beach 

This cafe with breath taking views of west beach is must go place, they have indoor and outdoor seating arrangements however out door is perfect for warm sunny days. Staff over here is wonderful and always ready to help. Food is spectacular and the view just adds up the charm to your experience. 

8. Esplanade Hotel, Brighton 

Ok This place is not just a restaurant, it is a whole different vibe. From location, ambiance to food. Just mind blowing is the right word for it (just ignore some of the not so smiley staff) Apart from that Must Must Must go restaurant, they have pretty long menu. 

9. Seacliff Beach Hotel, Seacliff 

Really beautiful place to hang out with family and friends, grab a drink or two and eat on their great food. My personal favorite is Pumpkin lentil salad and chicken wings were well made too.
